Program IBridge

IBridge is accompanying program for the handbook Integral Bridges Soil-Structure interaction. The program is intended for the calculation of reaction moduli on abutments and spread footings of integral bridges according to the method described in the handbook. The program enables the user fast entering of input data, carries out the calculation and generates a printout document.

Program IBridge can be free downloaded here. After download, start the installation by launching downloaded file ibridge.exe.

Calculation of Reaction Moduli on Abutment

The distribution of reaction moduli kh on the abutment can be easily determined by the program. The calculation can be launched after input of the following parameters:

  • Abutment Height Ha,
  • Horizontal displacement at the top of the abutment into the backfill Ut,
  • Horizontal displacement at the bottom of the abutment into the backfill Ub,
  • Soil type of the backfill,
  • Reference stiffness modulus of the backfill Eref.

Calculation of Reaction Moduli on Spread Footing

Reaction moduli kz and kx on the spread footing can be determined by the software as well. The calculation can be launched after input of the following parameters:

  • Footing width Bf,
  • Footing length Lf,
  • Vertical stress in the footing bottom fz,
  • Horizontal stress in the footing bottom fx,
  • Groundwater level GWL,
  • Parameters of particular layers in the subsoil below the spread footing.

Printout Document

When the reaction moduli on the abutment or on the spread footing are calculated, printout document can be generated. The document can be additionally edited and printed directly from the internal editor. It is possible to export the document in RTF format as well. The document can be generated in following languages: English, German, Czech and Polish.
